Prince Kravik
Prince Kravik is a fictional character who appeared as the antagonist in the original NIGHTWING miniseries.
==Fictional biography==
Prince Kravik was the hereditary ruler of the tiny nation of Kravia, who had been left scarred and half blind by an incompetent midwife at birth. His father was killed when Kravik was just six years old, and his mother apparently died giving him life. Upon his ascension to the Kravian throne, Kravik caused the death of hundreds of Kravian citizens. When Kravik was about twelve years old, the Haly Circus came to Kravia, and the rebel leader Heimmel Von Kart came up with a plan to secretly dispose of and replace the mad prince. He had his son Kemper's face altered to match Kravik's and then brought Kravik to watch the circus. Luring Kravik into the Flying Grayson's tent, von Kart strangled the mad prince to death and replaced him with Kemper, the real Kravik was then apparently buried under Kemper's name by the rebels. Years later, Kemper/Kravik began the systematic cleansing of anyone whose religious or political beliefs conflicted with his own, even imprisoning his own father, now the Prime Minister of Kravia, in the palace dungeon. Dick Grayson, the hero known as Nightwing, had himself dropped into Kravia to investigate a possible link to his own parents' murder - some Kravians believed him to be the true ruler of Kravia, in fact - and was able to rescue Heimmel from Kemper/Kravik's dungeon and bring him to America, where he made a deathbed confession of his role in the murder of the true Prince Kravik and prevent his son's ethnic cleansing campaign.
